The main bearings are located inside the crankcase and support the crankshaft. During the use of the motorcycle, the bearings undergo friction and wear and can deteriorate over time. If they are not replaced along with the connecting rod, they may not be able to support the new connecting rod properly, causing engine running problems.
Symptoms of worn main bearings can vary, but there are a few signs to look out for:
